A striking piece of genuine turquoise becomes the centerpiece of this one-of-a-kind handcrafted sterling silver necklace. A natural ribbon of metallic pyrite crosses the vivid blue stone, giving the turquoise an unmistakable character that will never be duplicated.

Designed and handcrafted by Montana Metalsmith, the horizontal turquoise is set in a polished sterling silver bezel and surrounded by an individually assembled border of 17 bold sterling silver beads and 6 custom stamped sterling silver beads. Dark patina settles into the recessed areas of the silverwork, creating depth and contrast against the high-polish finish.

The asymmetrical shape of the turquoise and horizontal orientation give this necklace a contemporary character while the substantial silver beadwork keeps it firmly rooted in Western design. Rather than relying on a traditional pendant bail, the necklace connects directly to the upper corners of the setting, allowing the turquoise to sit horizontally across the neckline.

The pendant alone contains more than 14 grams of sterling silver, giving the piece a substantial, collector-quality presence. It is finished with an 18-inch silver chain and lobster clasp.

CARE

Store dry and protected when not being worn. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, chemicals, lotions and household cleaners. A soft jewelry polishing cloth may be used gently on the high-polish silver surfaces. Avoid aggressive polishing of the darkened recessed areas if you wish to preserve the patina.
